General Meeting
Kuney town Sportsmen's Club 21 Members representing 10 Clubs
Meeting called to order by Vice President Gary Chave at 7:35 pm;
Secretary's Report:
Minutes reviewed. Corrections: Big Game meeting was held at Ilion not Avon. Motion made to accept. Motion carried.
Treasurer's Report:
Mark White gave a detailed report of accounts at hand. Motion made to accept. Motion carried.
Correspondence:
FWMA:
John Andrews named the new officers to the FWMA. License sales: 600,000 Hunting Licenses sold. 1,000,000 Fishing Licenses sold.
Adirondack Park named the largest park in the lower 48 States.
The next Environmental Conservation Officers (ECa) graduating class is in June 2005.
NYSCC Region 8:
The recent meetings for the Big Game Hunting were well attended. Much discussion on early Bow Season was met with much debate.
New acting DEC Commissioner is Denise Sheehan. She is covering day to day operations. Commissioner Erin Crotty has resigned.
Committee Reports:
Banquet Committee:
Banquet preparations are under way. Raffle and Dinner tickets have been sent out to all member clubs. Raffle Tickets: 1st Prize: 1300 Winchester 12 ga. Turkey Gun 2nd Prize: Savage 17 cal. Bolt Action Rim Fire
3rd Prize: Graphite Rod & Reel by our own Jack Lowery 4th Prize: Nikon Binoculars 5th Prize: Garmin GPS w/ case. Tickets: 1 for $3.00,2 for $5.00,10 for $10.00
Committee members are: Mark White, DeLoss Stuck, Ed Mitchell, Karen Burlingame, John Andrews, Bill Dadson. Gary Chave, Tom Grasek and Barb Wells. Committee will meet every two weeks. If you need dinner or raffle tickets you can call any of the committee members or myself at 315-585-6617.
Old Business:
Bill Dadson gave a detailed report on the Canandaigua Meeting for the Big Game Hunting Season. Archery Hunters upset that muzzleloaders will be included with them. Saturday hunting well received. As stated before, the push is on to take antlerless deer. Comments are to be submitted
New Business:
NYSCC Spring Meeting:
Gary Chave and Bill Dadson will be attending the Spring Conference. Motion made
to send them. Motion carried.
Sportsmen's March on Albany will be Tuesday March 15th. Bus Ride will again be offered from Syracuse. Meet the Bus at 6:00 am at Sam's Club, same as in past years.
Bus ride is $15.00 per person, reimbursed by the Federation. If interested call Barb at home.
Motion made to adjourn. Motion carried.
Up Date: John Sipos surgery for colon cancer on Thursday, February 10 at Strong Memorial Hospital. He is in ICU for seven days at this time, but it is hopeful that he will be out of lCU soon. We all wish him a speedy recovery. Get Well Soon, John!
MacDougall Sportsmen's Club is having their Game Dinner on February 26th 1 pm - 5 pm.
Kuneytown Sportsmen's Club is having their Game Dinner March 12th.
Reminder: Next meeting will be on Tuesday, March 15th, at the Waterloo Rifle & Pistol Club at 7:30 pm
