Tim Noga - Friends of Montezuma Complex

We would like to welcome back President John Sipos back. As everyone knows he has been battling Colon Cancer. He has finished his chemo-therapy and on the mend. His wife Carol is on the mend as well. As we also I know, she had a total hip replacement. We wish them both a speedy and steady recovery.

Meeting called to order by John Sipos at 7:30 pm. Pledge allegiance to the flag opened the meeting. Bill Ryan made a motion to suspend the meeting to allow our guest Erin Crotty - The Crotty Group, to speak. Motion granted.

Erin Crotty spoke to our membership on how the Seneca Army Depot Activity is to be broken down by Seneca County IDA. We are aware of the break down by published articles in the FL Times. She asked the members what are thoughts were about the Depot and what we would . like to see happen.

The Federation supports the goals of Seneca White Deer.

We asked a great deal of questions and she answered everything that she could. The conservation area is slated to be 1475 acres, but the deer herd will not be pushed into this area. The deer will have full use of the depot that is not fenced off.

The fenced off area that the public can see from the road means that the south end of depot is cleaned up. The north end needs further cleaning.

Numerous suggestions were made and Ms. Crotty answered them the best she could. She was interested in all proposals and wrote down everything that was mentioned.

She is on a timeline with Seneca County and she knows she will have to wrap everything up eventually.

Everyone asked numerous questions, some gave proposals or options.

John Sipos and Gary Chave thanked Ms. Crotty for coming and she thanked the Federation for inviting her.
