Membership:

President John Sipos would like to see how many we actually have.  John appointed Art Hall to check into the membership status.  We are always looking for new members.  Remember you don’t have to be a member of a club to be a member of the Federation. We have individual memberships available also.

NYS Conservation Council:

Conservation Convention discussed.  Resolutions will be included in this mailing. The BAM – Buck A Member – program has brought in over $12,000.00 to the council for operating costs since its inception. Thanks to all of the S.C. Federation clubs that have participated in this program.  Survey and Registration form will be sent out to all clubs to make sure we have the right addresses and e-mails.

DEC Law Enforcement Officer – Bob Lucas gave a presentation.  All new Durango’s will be provided for their officers. These new vehicles will have all the latest technologies.  The DEC also have new ATV’s and they were essential in helping to capture Bucky Phillips.

The NYS Conservation Council is not a state agency.  They are a private council that helps to update sportsmen, women and youth on all legislative gun bills, archery and muzzleloader.  Conservation is their #1 concern and they fight to keep hunters and sportsmen aware of what is going on in the state. Would you like your own copy of NYS Conservation Council Grass Roots news?  Check with your club or contact Gary Chave or myself for an application or internet www.nyscc@nyscc.com
