SUMMIT MEETING, CFAB, NYSCC & CANNI:

Gary Chave gave a detailed report on the above programs in NYS and Region 8.  Salt Water Fishing License.  There is no Salt Water Fishing License on the Atlantic Ocean side.  If they were to create a license for this it could bring in revenue for NYS and the U.S.  Excise Tax – Equipment Tax 1% or 5 Million for Conservation Fund.

Jr. Big Game License talked about.  Visible Fishing License and where it would be worn. Small game Youth Pheasant and Rabbit.  Penalty Surcharges for Fines and Violations.  Habitat Stamp talked about as we do not want another License Fee Increase for the coming year.  NYSCC funds are down at end of year. Motion made to give NYSCC monetary amount. Motion carried.

NYS DEC EC Officer Dieter Kramer:

Officer Kramer talked about the Fishing Licenses and Hunting Licenses and how they can only be checked between 8am & 4:30pm.  Violations for no Fishing License start at 0.00 and go to $250.00 for 1st offense.  Hunting Violations start at $250.00 and go up to $1000.00 also for 1st offense.  He added insight to what was discussed earlier.
