Annual Meeting
MacDougall Sportsmen’s Club

21 Members Representing 10 Clubs
Clubs not present: Barge Canal, Buckskin Bowmen, FL Chapter Trout,
FL Sports-O-Rama, Lodi, North Seneca, and Seneca Schuyler Wildlife.
Meeting called to order at 7:40 pm by President John Sipos. Pledge Allegiance to the Flag opened the meeting.
Minutes:
Minutes reviewed. Corrections: NYS and US Excise Tax are two separate areas. Corrections: The 17 hunting accidents did not all occur in Region 8. They were hunting accidents that happened throughout NY State. Motion made to accept. Motion carried.
Treasurer:
Detailed report given by Treasurer John Andrews. Dues: MacDougall has paid for their dues for 2007. Motion made to accept. Motion carried.
Correspondences:
Organization RENIA:
Organization is for Region Eight that teaches hunter and bow safety courses. Banquet to honor these teachers that instruct our youth and adults just learning how to hunt or shoot. A date for their banquet has not been set yet. Motion made to donated $25.00. Motion carried.
Rogers Pocket Directories:
2007 Rogers Pocket Directories are ready to be released. Motion made to buy a small number of them. Motion carried.
Depot Deer Hunt:
Art Hall gave a report of the deer harvested during the deer hunt.
Seneca White Deer:
Gary Chave announced that he has step down as a Director of Seneca White due to a conflict of interest.
Ron Enslow gave a detailed report on where Seneca White Deer stands at this time. Conservation area is in jeopardy. Discussion on the Bio-Fuel plant that is going to be built on the west side of the depot. Much discussion ensued on this news. Committee named to check out conservation area that the Federation may deem usable. Committee members: Mark White, Ed Mitchell and Tom Mitchell Jr. Motion made to table further discussion to next meeting.

Annual Banquet Committee:
Banquet advertisements are starting to come in. Thompson Center Fire ‘King of the Mountain’ Black Powder Rifle has been purchased. Seneca Meadows has again agreed to sponsor the Black Powder Rifle and purchase a back page advertisement and thank them.
Dinner Tickets will be printed up this week and the Raffle Tickets will be ordered. As soon as they are ready they will be mailed out to all the clubs. Letters will be going out to all dignitaries to invite them to our banquet.

16 new recruits are entering the academy.
There will be a trapping course offered in Savannah. This course will be held near the end of February. Hunter Safety course will be held either in March or early April in Savannah. Instructor will be Officer Matt Lockner from Wayne County. Both courses will be held at the Audubon Center. DEC has ATV’s and Snowmobiles to use in case they are needed for any problem. Thanks for coming Scott.
New Business:
March on Albany:
Gary Chave and Barb Wells will be attending the spring meeting in March. The dates are March 11, 12 and 13. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. March on Albany will be held on Tuesday, March 13th. Busses will be available to take sportsmen and women to Albany and back. Anyone who would like to attend can call Gary Chave at 315-539-8210 or Barb Wells at 315-585-6617.
Election of Officers:
Election of Officers held and Board remains the same.
